Role Overview We are seeking a Project Designer to lead design development on dedicated projects from concept through documentation. This senior design role works directly with Principals to drive project vision, produce presentation materials, and advance design industry trends firm-wide. You will own the design direction for your projects while mentoring junior designers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design development for assigned projects through all phases
Develop project goals, plan layouts, materials, color, and design specifications
Stay current on design industry trends and advance that knowledge firm-wide
Prepare information regarding estimated costs and construction timelines
Documentation & Production
Generate and organize design ideas using Revit, SketchUp, and graphic software
Produce presentation drawings, sketches, working drawings, and details
Coordinate drawings into cohesive schematic document sets
Revise and modify documents based on red lines and mark-ups
Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with consultants and outside parties on project documents
Prepare submissions to owners, contractors, vendors, and AHJ for plan review
Apply advanced knowledge of entitlement processes and building codes
Research zoning codes, building codes, and environmental regulations
Qualifications Required
Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in a professional architecture office
Multi-family and mixed-use architecture experience
Advanced proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience with CAD and Enscape
Broad experience across various project types and phases
Multifamily residential project experience
