
The Hardware Asset Management Analyst is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of hardware assets within an organization, ensuring efficient utilization, tracking, and maintenance of these assets. The HAM Analyst works closely with various departments, including IT, procurement, finance, and legal, to ensure that the organization's hardware assets are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.
Essential Job Function
Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware assets, including computers, servers, peripherals, and other equipment.
Tracking and Reporting: Implement systems and processes to track the usage, location, and status of hardware assets, generating regular reports for management.
Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of new hardware and replacement of outdated equipment.
Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle of hardware assets from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Compliance and Security: Ensure all hardware assets comply with security protocols and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and assessments.
Vendor Management: Liaise with hardware vendors to negotiate contracts, warranty claims, and service agreements.
Optimization: Analyze hardware usage patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of hardware assets, including serial numbers, purchase details, and maintenance history.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
