Job Overview: We are looking for a talented Senior Technical Writer to strengthen our cybersecurity team. In this dynamic position, you will create and maintain top-notch documentation that supports various endpoint security initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Documentation Development:

Create, revise, and sustain high-quality documentation for cybersecurity technologies, processes, and workflows. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementation guides, engineering runbooks, and architectural overviews. Draft documentation for system requirements, architecture designs, and operational readiness for both new and existing solutions.

Content Accuracy & Compliance:

Verify that all documentation accurately reflects current tools, configurations, and organizational standards. Assist with documentation requirements for compliance audits, risk assessments, and onboarding materials. Ensure alignment of outputs with established documentation templates and governance frameworks.

Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer:

Collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts, engineering teams, and operations to gather detailed technical information and transform it into user-friendly content. Create materials that facilitate smooth knowledge transfer between teams.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify documentation gaps and recommend enhancements. Keep abreast of cybersecurity trends and best practices, integrating them into documentation processes.

Qualifications: Proven technical writing ability, with a knack for crafting clear, concise, and user-centered documentation. Experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure, focusing on endpoint protection, SIEM, identity management, and cloud security. Skilled in documenting system requirements, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and implementation guides for technical stakeholders. Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, engineers, and project stakeholders. Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms such as Confluence, SharePoint, and Google Workspace. Adept at interpreting and standardizing technical content to maintain a consistent tone and style across documents. Understanding of documentation standards and style guides. Knowledge of version control and change tracking using tools like Git or document repositories. Background in the utility sector with familiarity with industry-specific terminology and regulatory frameworks. Awareness of cybersecurity technologies relevant to utility system protection. Proven experience in creating configuration and hardening guides for technologies like Windows, Linux, and firewalls. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and ISO/IEC 27001. Experience in documenting critical infrastructure protection strategies, including risk assessments and vulnerability management. Able to translate compliance and regulatory language into practical documentation.
