Position Responsible for complete municipal aftersales to our customers, which includes assessing and determining the correct parts they need, placing orders, following up on orders, and printing orders to be shipped or picked up. This can be done via email, phone, E-store, and in-person at the customer pickup window.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Handle high-volume telephone and email contact with customers to determine appropriate products based on application and pricing.
Work with engineering to determine the correct parts when necessary.
Work with purchasing to determine pricing, lead times, and expedites when necessary.
Assist and supply walk-in and phone/email customer-requested parts.
Process orders that come in via our online E-store and send acknowledging emails to customers.
Daily reconciling of shipped orders which also includes some invoicing and running credit cards.
End-of-day functions to include credit card settlement and balance cash box, then take to accounting.
Qualifications
General computer knowledge
Strong commitment to customer service.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Basic mechanical or parts knowledge.
Ability to read engineering drawings and parts manuals as needed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
