Inside Sales Representative – Manufacturing
We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support a fast‑paced manufacturing organization located in the Andover area. This role is critical to managing customer relationships, supporting commercial operations, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from inquiry through order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer‑focused, and comfortable working across sales, production, and internal systems.
What You Will Do
Serve as the
first point of contact
for incoming customer and web inquiries; assess needs and route opportunities appropriately
Manage day‑to‑day relationships with new and existing customers, including strategic accounts
Support the full order lifecycle, including
quoting, order entry, billing adjustments, returns, special pricing, and shipping requests
Maintain and manage the sales pipeline within a CRM system
Track order trends, sales activity, and market developments; prepare reports and presentations as needed
Coordinate closely with production teams to confirm lead times, deliveries, and special handling requirements
Collaborate with sales team members and estimators to establish pricing and support proposals
Follow up on quotes and keep management informed of large orders, issues, and customer feedback
Maintain accurate records of customer correspondence, quotations, orders, and documentation
Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding order changes, expedited deliveries, and customer concerns
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Strong business writing skills and professional phone presence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Hands‑on experience with
order entry and order management in an ERP system
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Self‑starter with sound judgment, strong organization, and a sense of urgency
Positive, professional demeanor with a customer‑first mindset
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
High school diploma or GED with
5+ years of commercial sales and/or customer service experience
will be considered
Experience in a
manufacturing or industrial environment
strongly preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Primarily office‑based with moderate noise levels
Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
Use of hands, arms, vision, and hearing required for daily tasks
