United Central is seeking an energetic, self-driven

Account Manager

to grow and support

mining and industrial MRO accounts

across the Madisonville, KY area. This is a field-based role focused on developing trusted, boots-on-the-ground relationships with mine-level and plant personnel while driving sustainable sales growth across critical industrial product lines.

Essential Functions

Own and grow a defined territory of

core and target mining and industrial MRO accounts

Build strong relationships with

mine managers, maintenance leaders, safety teams, and purchasing

Spend your days

on customer sites

identifying needs, solving problems, and supporting uptime

Develop and execute

territory action plans

to capture a larger share of wallet within key accounts

Promote and sell a broad portfolio of

industrial and safety-focused MRO products , including: Hydraulic hose & fittings, Industrial hose, Safety products (gas detection, breathing apparatus, PPE), General MRO, lubrication, filtration, electrical products, wire & cable, and communications

Partner with branch managers and internal teams to align inventory, pricing, and service support

Work closely with Inventory Control to manage stock levels and reduce obsolete inventory

Track activity and opportunities using CRM and provide clear, professional communication internally and externally

Occasional overnight travel as required within the territory

Experience, Education and Skills

HS Diploma or GED;

Bachelor’s degree preferred

(business, sales, marketing, mechanical, engineering, or related field)

2+ years of industrial outside sales experience

(mining, heavy industrial, or MRO strongly preferred)

Proven ability to grow accounts and build long-term customer relationships

Familiarity with industrial products such as hydraulics, hose, safety, or plant/MRO supplies

Strong communication skills—comfortable talking with both shop-floor personnel and leadership

Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined in managing a field-based territory

Comfortable using

CRM systems and MS Office

Valid driver’s license and willingness to be in the field daily
