Position As a Regional Sales Manager, you will hunt and develop new M2M and IOT opportunities through new customer acquisitions. While enhancing current customer relationships through account management and new project / opportunity creation. Your focus will be selling the value propositions of a Digi Cellular Solution to end user accounts (typically an Operations or IT Manager). To achieve success, you will need to execute a regional sales plan that will leverage various channel partners (distributors, value added resellers, system integrators, and carriers) to extend your sales influence and reach.
What We Offer This exciting position is accountable for managing and growing the revenue for our Cellular Router & Digi Remote Manager business in the TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas).
What You Will Do
Daily NEW customer prospecting and development efforts
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements; identify opportunities for additional value creation for the customer and build a compelling value proposition based on Digi's product and services offering
Drive growth and execute timely to maximize output
Meet/Exceed assigned revenue, sales pipeline, new customer capture and other sales objectives while embodying the 4 Digi Cell BU core cultural values
Create and deliver formal presentations
Conduct account and territory reviews on a regular basis that rely on industry proven sales methodologies
Participate in Regional/Corporate Trade Shows, Seminars, or other sales/marketing events
Maintain complete knowledge and participate in all training of Digi Cellular router/gateway products and their target market ap• Maintain knowledge and awareness of competitive products and programs and sell competitive advantages within the corporate arena
Maintain detailed account profiles and activities and update Digi management on account status, business opportunities and trends on a regular basis
Provide sales statistics, forecasts and reports on sales activity within region and those requested by management
Develop and implement targeted marketing plans to identify and recruit resellers, integrators, end users & corporate partners according to the company's corporate strategy
Maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting of sales activities in Digi CRM
Who You Are and What You Bring Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years successful sales experience required or equivalent combination of experience and education
Excellent presentation and organization skills with a talent for customer interaction at all levels
Must have strong interpersonal & communication skills
Positive attitude and proactive approach
Must have successful experience selling cloud managed devices with subscriptions, licenses, or SaaS
Understanding of data communications concepts
Experience with two-tiered sales model and sales technologies
Ability to travel 50% of the time
Digi International offers a distinctive Total Rewards package including a commission program, new hire stock award, paid parental leave, open (uncapped) PTO, and hybrid work environment in addition to our competitive medical, health & wellbeing and compensation offerings.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $160,000 – $250,000, which includes base salary + commission target. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location. The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary and commission offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
