
Polaris Windows & Doors, a leading Vinyl Window Manufacturer in the replacement window industry, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative located in the East Coast Region (eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Jersey). The position will service existing accounts, as well as establish new accounts. The job requires overnight travel, and will be based out of your home. The position reports directly to the National Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be coachable and have a strong desire for professional growth.
Job Responsibilities
Meet revenue and profit goals for defined geographic territory by growing and maintaining market share;
Train Dealers Sales Force on our full product offering: Vinyl Replacement Windows, Steel and Fiberglass Doors;
Teach Dealer Sales Representatives or Purchasing Agent on how to order our windows and Doors;
Communicate all product or service changes Polaris Window & Doors implements to our customers;
Introduce new products and product line extensions offered by Polaris Windows and Doors;
Collect marketing intelligence on competitors and potential new dealers in territory;
Resolve complaints on a timely basis – 30 days;
Expedite paperwork on returns, damaged goods, credits, model home discounts and other promotions;
Effectively and aggressively manage complex sales relationships through our Dealer network, based on value selling; (this product has to be sold and requires that you tell the story).
Sell value instead of price;
Manage a territory by choosing the right dealers in a market, and helping them grow the business.
Annual forecast by customer and product they use.
Requirements
Overnight travel is required;
Experience with building materials sales, vinyl replacement windows, exterior trim, siding, consultative selling, or selling any product that can be demonstrated and doesn’t sell itself is preferred but not required;
Must be comfortable working in a sales channel where you make a direct sale;
Selling experience to a Dealer network that presents products directly to the homeowner;
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to easily develop strong relationships;
Demonstrated success at selling differentiated products, understanding and communicating manufacturing technologies and testing protocols and showcasing them in a variety of presentations – formal group presentations all the way to the jobsite presentation;
Ability to develop, execute and track programs through the Dealer to the homeowner;
A self-starter, motivated and goal oriented and excellent at finding and closing business.
Must be comfortable working toward key performance goals independently while based in a remote office.
