The Product Application Sales Specialist (PASS) will serve as the primary bridge between the direct sales, application, marketing, and service teams to secure sales and customer satisfaction. This is a US based sales position primarily responsible for ongoing sales development. This person will support opportunities through PO while helping to qualify the prospect, develop a competitive, robust solution offering that is based on the prospect's needs, be part of the presentation and technical discussion and support a successful demonstration. This includes working closely with US sales, Applications, Marketing and Service teams to increase the opportunity funnel and won orders while investing in the high-win probability opportunities. Responsibilities also include ZEISS portfolio training both colleagues and customers, giving high-level presentations, and assisting Sector Marketing with the creation and development of marketing collateral and campaigns.

Develop Strong Opps Funnel with High Probability to Win
Work with sales to qualify leads
Work with sales to assess customer's real needs to develop needs-based, competitive solutions
Improve Opps to Win Rate
Support development of competitive proposals with robust solutions
Present technical presentations to customers
Coordinate with Applications to secure successful demonstrations that support the sales process
Secure Delivery of The Promise - Customer Satisfaction
Partner with Service and Applications to ensure successful installation, training, and customer satisfaction following the sale
Analyze product performance (i.e., performance to specification and reliability) and provide feedback, together with recommended improvements
Others
Practice, plan and implement content to support the ZEISS Selling Process (ZSP) process
Technical Support, Product Support, Customer Centers, Aftersales, and the Back Office with technical, application, configuration, questions and needs
Facilitate collateral generation (i.e., images and applications examples) when needed.
Monitor market for upcoming new applications and possible interaction with products of other ZEISS companies as well as third party companies
Do you qualify?
Knowledge of the MR market, applications, equipment, customers' needs, competitive landscape and technologies preferred.
Prior experience in technical sales highly preferred.
Minimum 4 years of working knowledge of high-end microscopy, including electron, laser scanning, and light microscopy, and other imaging techniques in a customer-facing, applications support, or technical sales environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
Excellent organizational skills and teamwork.
BSc/BA in Materials Sciences or Engineering, graduate degree prefer.
Ability to direct/work in a globally diverse team setting.
Self-motivated, self-starter and energetic.
Travel (domestic) totaling at up to 50%.
