Your main responsibilities PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW: As an Existing Installation (EI) Sales Account Manager at Schindler, you will cultivate relationships with customers to drive sales for elevator and escalator services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as identify and pursue sales opportunities, manage existing and new customer accounts, and retain customers. You will act as a liaison between the customer and Schindler to build strong, long‑term relationships and leverage industry knowledge to achieve sales targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Build and manage favorable client relationships within a designated sales territory to secure and renew service agreements, handle inquiries, and ensure satisfactory resolution with a focus on revenue generation.
Communicate effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of sales objectives.
Partner daily with the Field Superintendent and technicians to drive lead generation and ensure an excellent total customer experience from initiation through delivery.
Identify and pursue sales opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information. Qualify customer needs to secure profitable solutions, introduce new technology and associated services, and clearly illustrate the value they offer.
Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company while also delivering on customer requirements, and develop and implement sales strategies that align with internal product strategies and competitive market conditions with minimal supervision.
Prepare estimates, communicate proposals with customers, maintain accurate records and files in accordance with company procedures, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
What you bring •
Major: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of B2B sales experience in the elevator or related industry.
Other Special Requirements:
Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication, negotiation, objection handling and closing skills with a proven sales track record.
Ability to empathize, listen and connect with people to form outstanding customer relationships.
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem‑solving abilities.
Motivated, resilient, and customer‑focused mindset with a strong character aligned with Schindler’s values.
Experience with SAP and a results‑driven mindset to thrive in a competitive sales environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork, with flexibility for travel and managing customer interactions.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Customer Account Management: proficient in building and managing client relationships, handling challenging inquiries while ensuring satisfactory resolution and revenue generation.
Negotiation & Strategy: experienced in negotiating contract terms and developing sales strategies that align with the customers’ needs and Schindler values, compliant with all regulations.
Sales & Closing Skills: proficient in closing deals and securing agreements when finalizing contracts, identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, qualifying customer needs, and introducing new services and technology.
Effective communication skills when communicating with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and achievement of objectives.
Leadership: ability to provide guidance and support to junior sales account managers and representatives, and proven track record collaborating with Field Superintendents and technicians for quality improvement processes.
