Location: Beverly Hills, CA
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Compensation: $2,500 signing bonus for qualified hires
About MemeHouse MemeHouse is a cultural engine built at the intersection of live media, creators, and modern digital culture. We operate creator spaces, live productions, short‑form media, and real‑world events, all powered by a large inventory of high‑value production equipment and digital assets. MemeHouse runs:
Multi‑million‑dollar creator content spaces (e.g., studios and experience hubs).
A live‑streaming and production ecosystem protected by advanced software and security protocols.
MemeHouse specializes in In Real Life (IRL) streaming, producing long‑form content on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and X.com. This means our creators and teams are constantly on‑camera and on‑the‑move, relying heavily on robust, well‑tracked gear and infrastructure to maintain high‑quality broadcasts and immersive experiences.
We are hiring an Asset Protection Associate to safeguard our production equipment, studio assets, and related technology while supporting a high‑energy, creator‑driven environment.
Role overview As an Asset Protection Associate at MemeHouse, you will help protect and manage our production equipment, studio assets, and digital infrastructure through tracking, monitoring, and loss‑prevention processes. You’ll work closely with operations, production, and security teams to prevent loss, damage, and misuse of company assets.
You will also use modern cloud‑based asset‑tracking technology (similar in concept to platforms like Asset Panda) to ensure accurate, real‑time visibility into where equipment is, who has it, and what condition it’s in.
Key responsibilities Asset tracking & inventory management
Maintain accurate records of cameras, lighting, audio gear, streaming units, and related production equipment using a cloud‑based asset‑tracking system (or equivalent tools).
Conduct regular physical and digital audits of assets, including barcodes or asset tags, and reconcile any discrepancies between system records and on‑ground inventory.
Track check‑in/check‑out of equipment for shoots, events, and departments, ensuring all assets are assigned to responsible users and returned on time.
Loss prevention & security support
Monitor for internal and external theft, misuse, or unauthorized removal of company property in studios, back‑of‑house areas, and equipment rooms.
Report and document any suspicious activity, missing assets, or damage incidents, and follow MemeHouse’s security protocols for escalation and investigation.
Support security and production teams during high‑traffic events and shoots to ensure equipment remains secure and accounted for on‑site.
Maintenance, condition, and lifecycle tracking
Track maintenance schedules, repairs, and service needs for key production gear and flag items that are due for servicing or nearing end‑of‑life.
Record and update asset condition (e.g., “in use,” “in repair,” “decommissioned”), including photos or notes when necessary, to maintain an accurate lifecycle history.
Assist in coordinating repairs or replacements with vendors, logistics, and IT/AV teams to minimize downtime.
Compliance & documentation
Help maintain logs and reports related to asset movement, repairs, and investigations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and any applicable regulations.
Use secure, permissioned systems to restrict access to sensitive asset and tracking data, in line with MemeHouse’s security and privacy requirements.
Collaboration & communication
Work closely with production coordinators, studio managers, and security staff to ensure smooth asset handoffs, event setups, and breakdowns.
Communicate clearly with crew and creators about equipment check‑out policies, responsibilities, and expectations to promote accountability and reduce loss.
Qualifications Minimum requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or coursework in Criminal Justice, Business, or IT/AV is a plus.
1+ years of experience in loss prevention, security, warehouse operations, retail asset protection, or inventory control.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort working with checklists, logs, and digital tracking systems.
Basic proficiency with computers, web‑based software, spreadsheets, and mobile apps (experience with asset‑tracking or inventory tools is a plus).
Strongly preferred
Experience working with barcode scanners, asset tags, or cloud‑based asset‑tracking platforms (even in any industry, e.g., warehouse, IT, or facilities).
Prior experience in studio, AV, broadcast, or event environments where equipment tracking is critical.
Familiarity with security cameras, access‑control basics, or on‑site monitoring is a plus.
Key skills & mindset
Detail‑oriented and accountable: You notice discrepancies, ask questions, and own follow‑through on asset issues.
Preventive thinker: You proactively look for opportunities to reduce loss, damage, and misuse before they occur.
Team‑oriented and reliable: You communicate clearly, show up on time, and support a fast‑moving production environment.
Honesty and integrity: Trust is essential, since you will handle high‑value gear and sensitive tracking data.
