Position Summary A Sales Employee at JRP is responsible for generating new business and maintaining customer relationships across assigned territories. This involves outside, business-to-business (B2B) sales, with a focus on cold calling, lead generation, presentations, and achieving sales targets. JRP provides training on product knowledge, sales processes, systems use, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development – Prospect for and qualify new customers through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities to create sales opportunities.
Sales Presentations – Set appointments and present Cintas products and service programs (e.g., uniforms, facility services, first aid & safety).
Territory Management – Generate revenue and meet or exceed sales quotas within an assigned geographic territory.
Use Business Data – Gather and apply business intelligence on prospects to support sales strategies and presentations.
Sample Transportation – Carry and use product samples during client visits to better demonstrate offerings where relevant.
Client Relationship Building – Develop trust with customers, understand their needs, and offer solutions that help grow accounts.
Account Management – Maintaining and growing existing customer accounts through relationship building, retention, and cross-selling.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum 1 year outside sales.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable using basic computer applications (email, CRM, spreadsheets)
Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience with a hunter mentality — proactive, results-driven, competitive.
