Join Our Team as an Outbound Distribution Associate!
Seeking motivated individuals to take on critical outbound functions such as loading, picking, and packing orders for efficient shipment. Follow established procedures to ensure all tasks are performed accurately and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers on pick tickets with merchandise.
Prepare loads by placing merchandise in totes or staging bulk items appropriately, ensuring accuracy with customer labels.
Maintain high standards for accuracy and productivity when picking orders.
Consolidate and pack stock orders quickly and accurately to facilitate efficient customer check-ins.
Document any products not shipped immediately on freight bills and ensure proper dating and totaling at day’s end.
Utilize handheld computers (RF units) and/or voice picking equipment as needed.
Carefully check items against freight bills during loading to ensure compliance.
Load trucks efficiently and ensure freight is secured properly.
Keep picking zones stocked with totes and in good repair.
Handle equipment for outbound functions and maintain a tidy work area, disposing of waste responsibly.
If experienced, take on a mentoring role to assist new team members, ensuring thorough training and documentation.
Adhere to safety standards and proactively identify any unsafe practices.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to read and match numbers and letters quickly and accurately. Strong mathematical skills. Desired:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Previous warehouse experience is a plus. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, is highly desired. Why O'Reilly Auto Parts?
