Job Description The Postdoctoral Research Associate will support a growing multidisciplinary glass research program encompassing industry-driven projects, advanced glass materials research, and workforce development. The position will contribute to industry-aligned efforts in glass manufacturing technologies and materials performance improvement, while pursuing frontier research alongside these activities with a primary focus on photo-functional glass and thin film materials. The postdoc will also contribute to glass-based electrochemical energy research through application of glass science expertise. Responsibilities include conducting independent and collaborative research; designing and executing experiments; analyzing data; contributing to publications and proposal development; mentoring students; and supporting the development and operation of laboratory capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Materials Science, Glass Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field by the start date.

Demonstrated background in glass science and engineering, amorphous materials, or related inorganic materials systems.

Experience designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to contribute to technical reports, proposals, and scholarly publications.
