Organization Mission
The mission of Lutheran Church Extension Fund is to start, sustain and strengthen LCMS ministries through financial and strategic partnerships.
Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Product Development.
Summary The Investor Specialist is responsible for client retention and growth through making outbound calls to prospects and existing key investors, as well as taking inbound calls. This individual will focus on the customer experience; providing a service level that exceeds client expectations and has a genuine desire to build and maintain positive client relationships.
Essential Job Functions
Manage and prioritize outbound and inbound calls focusing on new client acquisition, cross-selling company products, and providing personalized attention to existing key investors.
Build relationships with field staff to gain confidence in the handoff of prospects.
Provide education on company products and services.
Resolve client issues and coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met.
Assist clients with completion of forms, finding resources and documents, or routing to the appropriate internal resource. Follow up with client to ensure needs were met.
Track performance metrics in CRM (e.g. contact rates, conversion, customer satisfaction, retention).
Identify trends and inform internal key stakeholders of product or service challenges or enhancements and make recommendations for improvement.
Assist with programs that support retention and growth.
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or relationship management within a banking or financial institution.
Series 63 license is required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire date.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Knowledge of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), its entities, and a passion to support the mission and ministry of the church. LCMS member, preferred.
Communicate effectively and confidently and adjust style to fit the audience. Written and verbal communication is clear and understood.
Build strong client relationships and deliver client-centric solutions.
Build partnerships and works cooperatively with others to meet shared objectives. Gains trust and support of others.
Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
Strike a balance between talking and listening and ability to adjust message to audience.
