Summary:
The Asset Protection Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding The United Family's assets while ensuring a secure work and shopping environment for both team members and guests. This position involves proactive measures to deter theft, monitor and reduce store shrinkage, conduct safety checks, and perform various assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and engage guests proactively upon their entry into the assigned area or department.
Implement strategies to minimize loss from all potential sources within the store.
Apprehend individuals who commit theft against the company in adherence to corporate guidelines and state laws.
Follow a structured work schedule as defined by the Asset Protection Manager.
Conduct surveillance and investigations as directed by Asset Protection Management.
Collaborate with management on corporate shrink reduction initiatives.
Perform store-level operational audits, walkthroughs, and safety inspections.
Execute additional duties as directed by a supervisor.
Key Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preference for individuals with commissioned law enforcement experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capability to perform physical tasks including bending, standing, lifting, squatting, climbing, walking, and occasionally running.
Open to feedback and coaching regarding performance and work habits.
Strong decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
Ability to learn and effectively use various computer software and electronic tools.
Competence in multitasking.
