Parent Educator / Home Visitor (Bilingual, English/Spanish)
Location: Glendale Heights, IL (DuPage County). Supervisor: Program Supervisor.

Our Glendale Heights location has openings for
Bilingual Parent Educator
to work with families in DuPage County. Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the Parent Educator/Home Visitor role provides case management services to individuals and families in need of multiple services. This position conducts assessments of needs, service planning, home visits, reassessments, linkages and referrals to public and private services and programs, information dissemination, advocacy, mental health assessment, and service plan follow‑up. It also supports coordinating monthly educational workshops.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Conducting case management and family support duties including needs and strengths assessments, screenings, referrals and advocacy.
Performing case management and family support home visits and follow‑ups as needed.
Locating, identifying and utilizing partner agencies, social services and resources for families.
Providing education, information and referrals to program participants.
Identifying partners, speakers and curriculum to meet the needs of participants and providing education series for parents on a number of topics, such as parent–child interaction activities, gross and fine motor skill development, literacy and language acquisition, immigration services and more.
Following the Parent as Teacher (PAT) curriculum.
Collaborating with local social service agencies to coordinate services for participants.
Developing and maintaining required records, reports and statistical data.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in social services: Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminology, Early Childhood Education.
A minimum of two years’ experience in the social work or related social services field. Volunteer or internship experience will be considered for new graduates.
Parent as Teacher Curriculum experience (preferred).
Prior case management/family support experience.
Must be able to write, speak, facilitate, and translate in both English and Spanish.
Requires extensive local travel. Must have access to reliable and efficient transportation that will allow for the completion of caseload responsibilities.
Salary: $48,200/year. This is a full‑time exempt position.
