City, State Description of Organization Founded in 1846, First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio (FPCSA) has stood as a vibrant witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ in the heart of downtown San Antonio for more than 175 years. Rooted in the Reformed tradition and an enthusiastic member of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, FPCSA is a multigenerational congregation committed to biblical preaching, dynamic worship, and intentional discipleship.

Our shared purpose is to enjoy Jesus daily so that all people encounter Him. This joy is both our foundation and our calling, shaping how we live, serve, and minister together. Flowing from that joy, our mission is to make disciples who are disciple-makers—people whose lives and witness multiply the love of Christ in our homes, our neighborhoods, and the world.

As a church that lives to love Christ, love one another, and love the city, FPCSA is passionate about serving San Antonio and beyond through ministries of compassion, evangelism, and mission. Locally, we partner with a range of ministries addressing spiritual, social, and physical needs—from homelessness and education to refugee resettlement and neighborhood revitalization. Globally, our mission partnerships span several continents, reflecting a long-standing commitment to cross-cultural ministry, missionary support, and church planting.

FPCSA is deeply invested in outreach and evangelism, seeking to make Christ known in San Antonio and around the world. Through community engagement, small group ministry, and strategic partnerships with new church plants, we strive to embody Christ’s love and extend the reach of His kingdom in word and deed.

The Associate Pastor for Outreach will join a dedicated pastoral team and congregation eager to expand our gospel impact—locally, nationally, and globally—as we continue to build on FPCSA’s rich legacy of faith and mission. Together, we seek to lead God’s people in enjoying Jesus daily, so that all may encounter Him and share in the joy of His salvation.
