Job Description The Ivy offers an exceptional environment for a marketing professional who wants to work at a high level within luxury hospitality. This role works closely with leadership across hotel operations, culinary, spa, sales, and reservations, and plays a direct role in revenue performance, brand perception, and long‑term growth. The Ivy fosters a collaborative, supportive culture where teams work closely together and take pride in their craft.

The Marketing Manager leads all marketing, communications, and brand initiatives for The Ivy Hotel, Magdalena, and The Spa at The Ivy. This role owns both strategy and execution across all channels, with the primary objective of driving revenue while protecting brand integrity and the guest experience.

Social media is an important component of this role, with a focus on thoughtful visual storytelling, strong content planning, and consistent brand expression. This position requires a great eye and attention to detail, with the ability to make creative decisions that align with the brand’s positioning and operational priorities.

The Marketing Manager develops and executes integrated marketing plans, oversees digital and social channels, manages agency relationships, and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with demand, occupancy, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute annual and seasonal marketing strategies across rooms, dining, spa, events, and partnerships

Plan, prioritize, and pace campaigns based on demand, occupancy, and operational capacity

Identify target markets, growth opportunities, and competitive positioning

Make informed decisions around promotion timing and scope to support revenue without overextending operations

Brand Management & Communications

Serve as primary steward of The Ivy’s brand voice, visual identity, and messaging

Ensure consistency across all guest‑facing communications and marketing channels

Shape storytelling around guest experiences, packages, and events

Act as the final reviewer for marketing and communications materials

Campaign Execution & Channels

Lead execution of marketing campaigns across email, website, social media, digital advertising, partnerships, and on‑property promotions

Lead social media strategy, content planning, posting, and performance across platformsSet and uphold quality standards for all visual and written content across digital channels

Ensure content reflects brand positioning, guest experience, and service philosophy

Manage and update The Ivy and Magdalena websites

Track, analyze, and report on performance across channels

Agency & Partner Management

Oversee PR and digital marketing agencies

Set priorities, review deliverables, and evaluate performance

Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners aligned with the brand

Collaboration & Revenue Alignment

Work closely with sales, reservations, food & beverage, spa, and events teams to align marketing with business goals

Support packages, promotions, and special events with thoughtful, well‑timed marketing execution

Translate operational needs into clear, effective marketing initiatives

Budget & Performance

Create and manage marketing budgets

Monitor spend and measure ROI

Use performance data to guide strategy and ongoing optimization

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

4–6 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle brands

Strong strategic thinking paired with hands‑on execution skills

Demonstrated ability to maintain strong visual standards and brand consistency across digital platforms

Strong experience with social media strategy, content development, and visual storytelling

Experience managing website content, email marketing, and digital campaigns

Working knowledge of SEO, paid media, and digital marketing tools

Strong visual sensibility with experience using graphic design platforms

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Experience working with external agencies and partners

Local market knowledge and relationships a plus
