Marketing Operations Coordinator (Full Stack) (Remote)
Cyclops, Nashville, Tennessee, United States, 37247
Location:
Fully Remote
The Reality of This Role
This is a hands‑on, in‑the‑weeds, do‑everything‑marketing role. You’ll be working directly with the founder to determine and execute on marketing priorities. That means logging into and working in SEO tools, CMS, social platforms, analytics dashboards, and more—every single day. Initially, you and the company’s founder will be solely responsible for executing across the entire marketing function. Over time, our hope is that you will grow into a more senior role and be a partner in building a complete marketing department. If you want a job where you delegate and/or “provide strategic direction” on day one, this isn’t it.
If you are looking for an opportunity to work like crazy, learn fast, prove yourself, and rapidly grow into a leadership role - this is the job for you.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing Daily
SEO execution (Semrush, Wix): Keyword research, on‑page optimization, content audits, tracking rankings, fixing technical issues, monitoring Search Console and analytics
Content creation (Canva, Google Suite): Writing blog posts, landing pages, email campaigns, social posts—actual writing, not just “content strategy”
Website management (Wix & Webflow): Updating pages, improving UX, A/B testing, optimizing conversion paths, building new pages and templates
Analytics & tracking (Hubspot, Wix, Other): Monitoring traffic, conversions, user behavior across all channels—spotting trends, identifying issues, reporting on what’s working
Brand building (Canva, Google Suite): Creating templates, maintaining brand consistency, developing guidelines, building our visual and written identity
Social media (All Primary Platforms): Managing accounts, scheduling posts, engaging with audience, tracking performance
Documentation: Building playbooks, processes, templates, SOPs for everything we do
Tool mastery: Quickly learning and becoming expert in our marketing stack (SEO platforms, CMS, email tools, analytics, project management, design tools)
Who Thrives Here You are:
Type A and detail‑obsessed – you notice when things are off by a pixel or a decimal point
Execution‑focused – you'd rather spend 8 hours doing than 4 hours brainstorming
A fast learner – you pick up new software without needing training wheels
Data‑driven – you track everything, make decisions based on numbers, optimize relentlessly
Self‑directed – you work with the founder to set priorities, then you go execute without constant hand‑holding
Comfortable with ambiguity – early‑stage startup means figuring things out as we go. You are able to manage up, try things and iterate quickly based on feedback.
Hands‑on – you’re not afraid to dig under the hood, try new tools/approaches, create the trackers/spreadsheets – whatever it takes to succeed.
You are NOT:
An “Ideas Gal/Guy” creative who can’t meet deadlines
Someone who wants to delegate work rather than doing
Looking for a clearly defined lane or single‑channel focus
Needing lots of hand‑holding
Too senior to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
What You’ll Need Experience, either:
A) 1‑3 years of hands‑on marketing experience (startup, agency, or in‑house)
B) A self‑developed mastery of a large suite of Web‑design, graphic design, SEO/content, social media tools and platforms (in other words, we don’t care where you learned your skills, but you need to have skills)
Skills:
Project management skills – you keep multiple balls in the air without dropping them
Quick software adoption – you’ve learned new tools fast in previous roles
Strong writing ability – you can create clear, compelling content
Proven SEO execution skills & knowledge (traffic growth, ranking improvements)
Plenty of practice/experience with AI Tools
Experience with web platforms (Wix, Webflow in particular)
Comfortable with analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console, social analytics)
Some basic graphic design skills are a plus (Canva is fine, don’t need Adobe or Figma level, but great if you do)
Bonus Points:
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
Design skills (Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Marketing automation experience (HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.)
Paid advertising experience (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn)
Experience building processes and documentation from scratch
Previous early‑stage startup experience

Why This is a Dream Role There are so many talented people with no opportunities to grow into a true leadership role. Entry‑level jobs are dead ends with low ceilings, and senior positions require 10+ years of experience. There are killers out there who are early in their career and lack the experience to get the senior positions, but are too far along to want a dead‑end entry level role. These are A‑players who are stuck in limbo and looking to break through.
If that resonates with you, this is the job for you.
Cyclops was founded by successful, serial entrepreneurs who sold their last startup to one of the biggest payments companies in the world. We have a proven track record of growing fast, and building industry‑leading companies. Here’s how, in this role, you will help us do just that:
Work directly with the founder—high impact, high visibility
Own end‑to‑end execution across the full marketing stack
Build processes and systems from the ground up
See direct results from your work in real‑time
Huge learning opportunity across all marketing disciplines
Equity potential as an early team member [if applicable]
The Fine Print
This is a full‑time, remote position
You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changing environment
Your hours and priorities require flexibility, as goals shift based on business needs (this is a startup. If you’re looking to clock in, do some simple work and clock out, don’t apply)
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, not just check boxes. You will gain experience here at 5x the speed of a legacy company, but you’ll have to work hard and earn it.
