Marketing Specialist Sunset West, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation, is currently recruiting a Marketing Specialist. Sunset West specializes in luxury outdoor furniture for residential and hospitality markets. Hooker Furnishings, celebrating over a century in business, is a designer, marketer, and importer of case goods, leather, fabric-upholstered, and outdoor furniture.

The Marketing Specialist supports the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that showcase our products, brand heritage, and design expertise. This role combines creativity and analytical skill, ideal for a proactive marketer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll manage omni-channel marketing initiatives, develop engaging content, and track performance to drive measurable results alongside a passionate, hands-on team.

Key Responsibilities Campaign Development & Execution

Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and print channels.

Write, edit, and proof content for ads, emails, websites, blogs, and trade materials.

Collaborate with corporate marketing to develop creative assets and maintain brand consistency.

Maintain a marketing calendar aligned with product launches, promotions, and events.

Digital & Social Media Marketing

Manage and execute all social media content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.

Oversee content calendars, schedule posts, monitor engagement, and respond to inquiries.

Analyze performance metrics and optimize paid and organic campaigns; provide actionable insights to improve future initiatives

Product & Brand Support

Partner with product development and merchandising to plan product launch campaigns.

Assist in development of sales materials such as lookbooks, point-of-sale collateral, catalogs, and showroom signage.

Manage the visual asset library and ensure consistency of product information across platforms.

Stay current on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

Events & Trade Shows

Support marketing activities for Trade Shows and other key industry events.

Assist in coordinating event promotions, presentations, and on-site materials.

Maintain relationships with vendors, media partners, and key contacts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2–4 years of marketing experience, ideally within consumer goods, retail, or home décor industries.

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail and design.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools a plus.

Familiarity with social media management platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social).

Experience with website CMS, email marketing platforms, and Google Analytics preferred.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range $65,000-$75,000 – onsite in Vista, CA. Occasional travel required.
