The Job in a Nutshell:

The Associate Marketing Manager - Local Store Marketing will assist in the development and manage the execution of Local Store Marketing (LSM) initiatives, which include coordinating projects across Marketing, interfacing with Nutrition Education, Purchasing and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of LSM. This role will work closely with the Associate Director of Local Store Strategy and Analysis to help raise brand awareness throughout specified markets. This position also develops and manages the communication of LSM campaigns to stores and internal departments. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site and remote work, with a minimum requirement of 2 days per week at the SSC Lakewood office .


Main Ingredients:

Assist in the development of and own the execution of local store marketing campaigns for competitor blunting and underperforming (UP) markets.

Work with internal stakeholders to launch successful campaigns for markets and/or individual stores.

Manage and maintain the competitor incursion document.

Proactively monitor competitors entering our markets and stay on top of opening dates to ensure blunting plans are developed and executed on time to meet deadlines.

Collaborate with internal marketing teams to leverage existing store/market programs and outreach events and integrate those into marketing plans for UP stores and in blunting campaigns.

Manage the execution and tracking of local store marketing events and initiatives (signage, offers, promotions).

Create InMotion requests for creative assets for campaigns. Keep track of all deadlines and ensure the creative team is on track to hit them.

Create and manage promotional calendars for UP stores and blunting campaigns.

Proof LSM campaign creative assets in InMotion to ensure error free final creative and address any problems.

Ensure consistency of LSM creative assets through all channels - direct mail, social, web and in-store materials.

Effectively manage multiple deadlines.

Effectively and professionally communicate.

Develop campaign communication documents and proactively communicate LSM campaign objectives, marketing plans and project status to relevant parties in all areas of the business including stores.

Maintain written correspondence with stores and internal departments regarding LSM marketing strategies and campaigns.

Coordinate as needed with purchasing team, vendors, and operations teams for LSM campaigns.

Collaborate with contracted advertising agencies on LSM initiatives.

Develop SOP’s and campaign checklists for each initiative to ensure seamless execution.

Work in a fast-paced environment and execute multiple projects with competing priorities.

Travels, as needed to LSM events to manage/work the events.

Other activities as assigned.

Recipe for Success:

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Minimum 4 years of experience in marketing or related field developing and managing marketing campaigns, promotions, and support materials.

Has an interest or passion in marketing.

Excellent organizational, project management skills and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Impeccable time-management and prioritization abilities.

Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines.

Can quickly learn new tools and technologies.

Ability to work independently and as a motivated self-starter who takes the initiative to accomplish tasks.

Possesses the ability to multi-task, work easily with changing priorities and solve unforeseen situations as they arise in a calm manner.

Ability to communicate in a professional manner with internal and external customers and vendors.

Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
