Director of Pharmacy
Position: Full-Time
Location: Berkeley, CA
Salary: $187,000 - $210,000 per year
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We're looking for a Director of Pharmacy to lead our onsite pharmacy at a busy community health clinic. You'll oversee daily operations, guide a collaborative team, and ensure our patients receive the highest level of service and medication safety. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, direct, and evaluate all pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance and service quality * Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws * Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff to promote continuous professional growth * Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and grants to support cost-effective operations * Oversee medication procurement, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances * Serve as a consultant to clinical providers on medication therapy, formulary updates, and safety protocols * Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and organizational ethics policies
Represent the department in leadership meetings and professional forums Qualifications
* PharmD or BPharm degree * Active California Pharmacist License * Proven management or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting * Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and clinical best practices
