STS Technical Services is hiring a Technical Proposal Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Position Overview The Technical Proposal Manager is responsible for conducting in depth technical research and developing high quality proposals that align with customer requirements and organizational objectives. This position supports turnkey aerospace and defense projects including aircraft structural modifications, aircraft system upgrades, MRO depot setup, and customer technical training initiatives. This role reports directly to the Director of Engineering and Technical Solutions. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed technical research on aircraft products, systems, and system integration to support proposal development Collect and analyze Request for Proposal requirements and ensure full compliance with all specifications and standards Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, aircraft system integrators, and business development personnel to develop customer focused proposals Draft, edit, and format proposals ensuring clarity, technical accuracy, and alignment with solution parameters Partner with Business Development to craft distinctive value propositions aligned with customer decision criteria Develop cost, schedule, and risk narratives in coordination with subject matter experts Maintain and update a reusable technical content library for future bids Support post submission clarification efforts and requested revisions Produce supporting capture materials including white papers, technical presentations, and marketing literature Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or related field, or equivalent experience Five plus years of experience writing detailed technical proposals in the aerospace or defense industry Strong understanding of aerospace systems and technical documentation standards Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive language and visual materials Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in fast paced environments Preferred Qualifications Experience using Canva Familiarity with defense funding pathways About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with leading aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and industrial organizations.
