The Merger Marketing Lead will be responsible for the full Cerity Partners merger lifecycle from the Marketing lens. This is a new role that will work across business functions and closely with our Partner Development and Change Management Teams to implement upper funnel marketing, through to rebranding, and marketing integration. The role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships. The ideal candidate should have a profound understanding of the role marketing and brand play within the context of wealth management and have superior project and change management skills.

As the Merger Marketing Lead your responsibilities would include the following:Lead the merger lifecycle for the Marketing function, from demand generation, through merger, to post-mergerOversee marketing campaigns to generate a pipeline of potential merger opportunitiesContribute to research and due diligence processes to determine merger candidate capabilities and fitParticipate in prospective partner discovery and due diligence meetings with the CMORepresent the Cerity Partners approach to marketing in internal and external meetingsOperationalize the marketing merger process across all merger phasesOversee and project manage omni-channel rebrands for all mergers (visual identity, website, content, narrative)Work with Marketing team members to assess content and digital marketing capabilitiesApply innovative thinking and creativity to help merged firms transition their marketing practiceDevelop deep relationships with merging and merged colleagues to support business growthEstablish tools and resources to enhance the colleague and client experience post-mergerServe as the Marketing Team representative in all merger-related project meetingsIdeal Candidate Profile

7+ years of professional experience in brand, marketing or change managementExperience with brand strategy, design and creative executionStrong project management and prioritization skillsSuperior written and verbal communications skillsDesire and ability to both lead strategy and execute tacticallyExperience working in a matrixed organizationStrong relationship building skillsSuperior presence and presentation skills, comfortable interfacing with external audiences on behalf of the firmEffective collaborator with the ability to build consensus and lead by influenceExperience in the wealth planning/RIA space a plusThe Cerity Partners Marketing Team touches all aspects of brand, performance marketing, content and communications across the firm.
