We are looking for the right individual to support the marketing and business development needs of our growing DC Metro office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing, writing, company culture and relationship building to join our team. The right candidate will focus on DC Metro"s marketing and proposal efforts while supporting the office"s business development efforts.

The work in this role includes developing prime and subconsultant proposal materials, marketing materials, and various communications pieces as well as project lead tracking, CRM and marketing database maintenance, presentation development, internal team coordination, event support, market research, and more. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to support and grow with our office.

In this role you will:* Assume the title of master juggler. You will be a detail oriented, schedule driven, multiple hat-wearing, punctuation enforcing marketing professional. You will have an eye for graphic design, a brain for strategic thinking, a passion for collaboration, and a hunger for learning new concepts.* Have the ability to review and understand Requests for Proposals (RFP"s), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ"s) and organize and develop written responses.* Write qualifications-based proposals describing technically complex concepts in a way that non-technical readers can understand. Each proposal is custom written, working from various InDesign templates. The response could be a single page or 50 pages. It could be a response in SF330 format or an architect"s request for qualifications. Every situation is unique.* Work hand in hand with the companywide marketing team, engineers, various departments, and subconsultants to find and track potential project leads, assess prospective clients" needs, and evaluate the competitive environment.* Maintain up to date data in various locations including internal CRM, marketing database, backlog database, and more.* Support a variety of local and corporate marketing and BD initiatives. Your marketing responsibilities will grow as you grow on our team. You may support tasks ranging from press release writing to trade show coordination and more.* Join and engage with appropriate architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry organizations, including Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

We will give you the training, resources, and mentorship you need to succeed in your role, but a basic understanding of A/E/C marketing and proposal processes is recommended and will accelerate your learning curve and allow you to tackle the necessary tasks more quickly.

Job Requirements

Requirements:* Bachelor"s degree (Graphic Design, Communications, or Marketing preferred)* Job experience and/or an educational background with an emphasis in marketing, writing, or communications.* Proficiency using MS Office 365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint). Most of our market materials are assembled in Adobe InDesign, so a working knowledge of this software is desirable.* Excellent communication skills. Clear written and interpersonal communication and strong listening skills are a must.* The ability to take direction and work independently while prioritizing tasks associated with simultaneous deadlines.
