This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days a week in the office and can be aligned with one our Mercer offices in the US. Senior Life, Absence & Disability Consultant What can you expect? The Life, Absence & Disability (LAD) Consultant will work on consulting engagements in supporting employers primarily with their absence programs which include Long Term disability (LTD), Short Term disability (STD), Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), leave and time off solutions You will also negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure plan coverage and administration services for these employers Work with colleagues on client engagements, including supporting the overall delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking and other studies Leverage Mercer's size and reputation to negotiate highly competitive rates and coverage options from carriers and vendors What's in it for you? 6 years' experience in Life/Absence/Disability insurance and administration or consulting industry; experience in absence products or solutions preferred Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple and complex tasks Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interface with multiple clients on a daily basis and develop great client relationships Within 90 days from your start date, obtain all required state Health and Life insurance licenses Advanced knowledge of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) What makes you a stand out? You act with a sense of urgency, demonstrating a proactive disposition and a "self-starter" mentality You are comfortable juggling shifting priorities, clarifying ambiguity, and enjoy a dynamic environment Ability to draw upon market dynamics, trends, and knowledge of the customer to provide strategic advice

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $88,000 to $176,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
