Produce clerks are responsible for making sure the produce section of the store is well stocked and orderly in appearance; with a focus on food safety and food presentation. Clerks are called upon for stocking, and rotation of stock; as well as any and all duties as assigned by a member of management. Education: High school or equivalent Experience & skills: Previous grocery / produce market experience is preferred. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction. In addition, you must have good communication skills, and good personal grooming habits. Requirements: Availability: Evenings, weekends and the ability to work varied hours and days based on the needs of the business. All positions require open availability and no special accommodations can be made or guaranteed. This position is variable, which means changing schedules are a requirement of this job. Crew schedules are determined by business needs therefore all schedules must be flexible. Physical requirements: Physical requirements include standing up to 8 hours during a shift and able to lift up to 60 pounds, bend, stoop, and climbing a ladder is required on occasion. Requires you to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
