Job Title: Member Service Representative Work Location: Summerdale, AL Department: Member Service Job Type: Full Time Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Assisting members with 90% of all incoming calls with questions asked/services requested or by connecting them with the proper person. Process credit card payments and payments by mail, requiring special handling, and assist cashiers as needed. Accomplish all tasks related to new services, meter sets, disconnects, and changeovers, including the application process, quoting deposits, and updating the system. Understand and explain all billing information, such as power cost adjustment, demand charges, and all rates, including large power. Post payment assistance information in IVUE and remove or adjust any pay arrangement on the account. Verify payment and scan agency documentation. Interact with Staking Engineers regarding new service requests. Answer e-mail requests to Member Service at Baldwin EMC. Participate in the Disaster Response Plan to include varied work hours and/or work assignments as described in the Plan. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must have experience in member service and public relations, basic utility accounting, cashiering, and banking, as well as telephone, face-to-face, and written communication skills. Experience in data entry and using office machinery in the typical office. Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality standards. Ability to review and monitor own work to ensure accuracy and quality. Ability to communicate professionally, effectively, clearly, and pleasantly

both orally and in written form. Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning job duties, data, and company information. Working Conditions Duties are performed in a typical office environment. Occasional overtime may be required.
