The Role

This Senior Counsel I – Trade Compliance will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and serve as the key liaison between business elements and the Enterprise Trade Compliance Program. The candidate will manage multiple priorities, analyze complex trade compliance scenarios, and communicate independently with senior division leaders while ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal guidance on trade compliance matters across the organization.
  • Analyze and interpret trade laws, regulations, and export control requirements.
  • Coordinate with business units to develop and implement compliance programs.
  • Monitor and report on compliance performance and risk assessments.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the Chief Compliance Officer and senior leadership.
  • Support investigations and audit responses related to trade compliance.

Must Have

  • Juris Doctor degree and six (6) years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Four (4) years of International Trade Compliance experience.
  • Internal investigation experience.
  • Defense industry and/or U.S. Government experience.
  • Government contract experience.
  • In‑house legal experience.
  • Active security clearance.
