About the Role: The Senior Director of Finance will serve as a strategic and operational financial leader for Maverick Power, overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accuracy and integrity across accounting and reporting functions, and partnering closely with executive leadership, operations, and legal teams. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage complex financial structures in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all financial operations of the company, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Manage and analyze backlogs, projections, and actuals to support accurate financial planning and decision-making.
Oversee profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other core financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage change orders and financial impacts related to operations, manufacturing, and project execution.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to optimize financial performance and cost controls.
Support the legal department with financial analysis, contract reviews, and financial implications of legal matters.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Oversee preparation and analysis of profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and consolidated financial reporting.
Manage financial planning related to backlogs, revenue recognition, projections, and actuals.
Direct financial oversight of change orders and operational adjustments, ensuring accurate financial impact analysis.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
Extensive knowledge of managing all financial aspects of a company, including accounting, reporting, and financial strategy.
Strong experience with profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and financial analysis.
Proven experience managing backlogs, projections, actuals, and change orders.
Manufacturing industry experience required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, leadership, and legal teams.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous senior leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience supporting legal and contract-related financial matters.
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
Experience in high-growth or complex operational environments.
Strong ERP and financial systems experience
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment: May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
