JR\_000569Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way.**Executive Director, Strategic Projects****Position Overview:****The Executive Director, Strategic Projects** is strategic partner and advisor to the Commercial Leadership Team, responsible for driving alignment, execution, and operational excellence across commercial functions including Marketing, Sales, Thought Leader Liaisons, Market Access, Patient Access, Commercial Strategy & Operations, Government Affairs and Meetings & Events. This role ensures clarity and momentum for key priorities and innovation opportunities, facilitates cross-functional collaboration, and leads high-impact strategic initiatives that support business objectives and accelerate growth.This is an office-based role, either in Conshohocken, PA or Waltham, MA. Reports into Chief Commercial Officer and collaborates closely with Marketing, Sales, Thought Leader Liaisons, Market Access, Patient Access, Commercial Strategy & Operations, Government Affairs and Meetings & Events.**Key Responsibilities:****Strategic Leadership & Execution*** Lead or support high-priority commercial projects, innovation initiatives, or transformation programs.* Translate CLT decisions into actionable plans and monitor progress against goals.* Prepare briefs, analyses, and recommendations as needed to support decision-making.**Cross-Functional Coordination*** Liaise between Commercial and cross-functional partners (Finance, Medical, HR, Legal, IT, etc.) to ensure alignment, escalate as needed and/or remove barriers to execution.* Ensure cross-functional collaboration to support timely execution of key priorities and projects.**Operational Excellence*** Support the execution of key organizational processes (e.g., governance implementation, brand planning processes, quarterly tactical execution reviews, financial planning processes etc.)* Partner with internal teams to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable operational improvements.**Executive Communications & Meeting Facilitation*** Lead development of high-impact materials and presentations for executive forums, Board reports, and leadership communications.* Organize and facilitate key commercial meetings, ensuring agendas are focused and decisions are documented and actionable.**Leadership of Priority Projects and Innovation Initiatives*** Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.* Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.* Ensure adequate allocation of resources to successfully deliver outcomes.* Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams.* Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team progress.* Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.* Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks.* Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns proactively.* Monitor project progress using KPIs and performance metrics.* Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to CLT.* Evaluate project outcomes to identify lessons learned.* Recommend improvements to processes for future projects.**Qualifications****Education & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, marketing, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).* Typically 8–15+ years of experience in commercial strategy, operations, consulting, or leadership roles within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Experience in MASH and / or with related specialists, commercial operations and leading strategic initiatives preferred.**Skills & Competencies*** Strategic thinker with strong operational discipline and execution focus.* Exceptional communication, influencing, team and relationship-building skills.* Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives as well as managing complex projects.* Proven ability to lead change management and resolve conflict.* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities.**Ideal Attributes*** Highly organized with strong attention to detail.* Ability to simplify complexity and provide clarity to diverse stakeholders.* Demonstrates discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.* Drives outcomes with a bias for action and accountability.**Working Conditions:*** Office-based; 25-30% travel.* Requires flexibility to meet tight deadlines or resolve critical issues.Madrigal’s Total Rewards strategy is based on a biotech industry peer group comparator and is inclusive of base pay, bonus and equity. Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs and market demands.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $XXX - $XXX per year.
