Summary

The Executive Director creates and carries out the long-term vision of NPLEX in partnership with and reporting to the Board of Directors, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for NPLEX. They will manage and participate in all phases of exam content creation—including drafting, review, content validation, and standard statistical validation—with a focus on fairness, reliability, and psychometric compliance and jurisdictional licensure/registration standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced naturopathic doctor with a strong understanding of licensure testing, content development methodologies, and psychometric principles. Key Responsibilities

Fiscal oversight and management under the Board of Directors Strategic leadership and oversight of staff and facilities, exam development; advise the Board of Directors Exam Design and Content—management of exam development specialists, subject matter experts, volunteers, and others. Collaborate with psychometric experts to meet statistical licensure reliability and validity criteria. Oversee development of projects, policies, and all critical deadlines. Coordinate policies, timelines, and workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner. Must adhere to strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of the examinations, staff, and examinations content. Represent NPLEX to the larger naturopathic community and public. Location

Minimum Qualifications

CNME approved ND degree/diploma, 5 years of clinical practice, and administrative, personnel, and budget experience totaling 4 or more years. Preferred

Experience with, and an understanding of, licensure testing, content development methodologies, and psychometric principles.
