
The Vice President, Corporate Sales is a senior leadership position within the Dallas Mavericks organization, responsible for setting and executing the overall corporate sales vision and strategy. This role leads and manages a high-performing team of senior sales leaders across corporate partnerships, digital, and media sales.
The Vice President will leverage deep industry relationships with brands and agencies to drive significant, sustainable revenue growth while building scalable sales strategies, processes, and best-in‑class partnership solutions. This position plays a critical role in advancing the Dallas Mavericks’ brand locally, nationally, and globally through innovative, high‑impact partnerships.
JOB FUNCTION:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Corporate Sales organization, including direct management and development of the Corporate Sales team. Set and execute comprehensive corporate sales strategies across sponsorship, digital, and media/broadcast platforms to maximize revenue and long-term partner value. Leverage deep, established relationships with senior decision-makers across brands and agencies to secure high‑value, multi‑platform partnerships. Oversee complex negotiations, contract structures, and strategic deal‑making. Build and refine sales processes, pricing strategies, and go‑to‑market approaches to support a scalable and sustainable business. Partner closely with Marketing, Content, Digital, Analytics, and Activation teams to deliver best‑in‑class, ROI‑driven partnership solutions. Advance the Dallas Mavericks’ global brand through local, regional, national, and international corporate partnerships. Utilize innovative and best‑in‑class partnership solutions to create legendary moments and experiences in sports and entertainment. Foster a high‑performance, collaborative, and accountable sales culture. Present regularly to executive leadership, league stakeholders, and key external business leaders. Oversee departmental forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range revenue planning. Serve as a collaborative leader and contributor to cross‑departmental and organizational REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function as well as the following: Proven executive‑level sales leadership experience with a track record of driving significant revenue growth. Deep, established relationships across brands and agencies, with demonstrated success closing complex, high‑value partnerships. Strong strategic mindset with the ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable sales strategies and processes. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to evaluate performance, forecast revenue, and refine systems based on data and insights. Outstanding leadership, coaching, and people development skills, with experience managing senior leaders. Extraordinary oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences at the executive level. Exceptional client‑facing communication skills and executive presence. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution. Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
