Salary:
$85,000–$125,000 per year. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined using permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for this role.
About You You relate comfortably with individuals across various levels, functions, cultures, and geographies, demonstrating a strong understanding of interpersonal and group dynamics while engaging effectively. You skillfully analyze diverse sources of information, readily distinguishing what is relevant from what is not, enabling you to accurately define complex problems before transitioning to solutions. With a deep understanding of technical sales, you leverage product knowledge and customer insights to craft tailored solutions, drive value, and build lasting partnerships. You consistently maintain a positive attitude and a forward‑thinking approach.
Job Responsibilities And Expectations
Be an enthusiastic promoter and representative of RheoSense products and services.
Reach established goals, including KPIs.
Manage customers in assigned territories so that their needs are identified and met with utmost priority.
Make sales presentations of products and services and demonstrate products as needed.
Accurately forecast, track, and report the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue streams.
Identify new clients and/or markets that could benefit from the company’s products or services to maximize customer potential.
Diligently update and maintain CRM without error.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
BA, MS, or Ph.D. Degree in Engineering or Life Science discipline is preferred.
A minimum of 2 - 5 years of customer-facing, instrumentation sales, or related industry sales experience.
Must have the technical ability to learn our products, applications, and services.
Proven experience in cross‑selling, and competence in various sales activities—lead generation, sales negotiation, and closing techniques.
Ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office, and familiar with CRM platforms.
Customer-focused: Fast, accurate response to customer questions and needs is critical; effectively communicate solution offerings and position RheoSense as a choice provider.
Accuracy and attention to detail: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Multi‑tasking: Able to manage and coordinate multiple projects and priorities; self‑motivated to continuously accomplish goals.
Excellent communication skills: Ability to read and analyze common documents; respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and effectively present information to team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications
Viscometry or Rheometry background and experience are a strong plus!
Experience and ability to speak in public.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel regularly throughout the East Coast region for customer visits, demonstrations, and events.
Ability to travel in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and humidity, as required for customer site visits.
Ability to lift, carry, and transport demonstration equipment and materials (up to 25–30 lbs).
Ability to stand for extended periods during product demonstrations, trade shows, or customer meetings.
Ability to work in laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial environments as required by customer site visits.
Ability to operate a computer, phone, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company requirements for travel.
