The Leasing Professional plays a key role in driving occupancy, retention, and resident satisfaction at one of ARTISAN’s premier Des Moines communities. This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-driven professional who enjoys sales, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and takes pride in creating exceptional first impressions and lasting resident relationships. Leasing Professionals at ARTISAN are confident communicators, creative problem-solvers, and skilled at understanding prospect needs and delivering top-tier customer service from first tour through renewal. Conduct all business in accordance with ARTISAN policies and procedures, Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and all applicable federal and state laws. Manage the full leasing lifecycle—from prospect tour through move-in—including closing leases, preparing lease documents, and ensuring a polished ARTISAN move-in experience. Present and highlight community features and amenities based on prospect needs and lifestyle. Support occupancy and retention goals through consistent follow-up with prospects and current residents. Maintain a stakeholder-focused mindset to ensure smooth renewals and positive long-term resident relationships. Utilize creative marketing and social media strategies to drive traffic and engagement. Maintain detailed knowledge of the community, floor plans, pricing, and competitive landscape. Respond to resident needs and concerns with professionalism, urgency, and care. Prepare lease documents, resident files, applications, and related paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail. Collaborate with onsite team members to plan and support resident events. Use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to navigate unexpected situations. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Values in Action Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred 1+ year in a sales-oriented role 6+ months of onsite leasing experience preferred (or a combination of customer service, sales, and education) Strong sales aptitude with a customer-first approach Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook AppFolio or RealPage experience preferred, but not required Compensation structure may vary by community and will be discussed during the interview process, hourly compensation on posting includes bonus potential.
