Position Purpose The Sr. Analyst, Pricing Analytics provides pricing subject matter expertise through analysis and competitive intelligence to the development and execution of retail Pricing Strategies. The Sr. Analyst analyzes data, builds presentations, and answers business questions using insight, analytics, and professional judgement. The Sr. Analyst supports merchants directly by testing pricing strategies and consulting them to achieve sales and gross margin objectives. The Sr. Analyst also works with cross functional partners, including assortment and space planning, finance, inventory planning, store operations and others to ensure end to end thinking on pricing strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

50% Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin. Utilize learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives

20% Conduct research to become subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis

10% Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide expert analytical support (i.e. domestic logistics or global supply chain costs

20% Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions

This position reports to a Senior Manager.

Travel Requirements

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or master’s degree in business related fields such as Finance or Economics

Understanding and ability to apply economic theories such as price elasticity of demand

Understanding and ability to use statistics to support business decisions

Minimum Education

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
