Sales Engineer

to cover the

Louisiana and Texas

region.

Position Objective This individual will be responsible for managing the relationships of a current group of strategic End User Customers, Industrial Distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturer accounts. In addition of that, develop other customer accounts inside assigned territory .Utilize a consultative selling approach to help our end users and Purchasing enhance their performance by providing unrivaled value and innovation. Build Strategies and execute action plans in support of our business and marketing initiatives to meet sales and profit goals. Through technical knowledge, great customer service, and strong connections, increase our core business focused on Atlantic Custom Bearings (ACB), MGS (Power Transmission Products) and AEC (Atlantic Engineering Chain) and other standard related items, market penetration and profitability developing solutions to fit customer expectations and needs.

Duties Customer Engagement and Relationship Building

Identify and develop customer opportunities within the bearings and power transmission market through targeted prospecting and market analysis.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers using a consultative, solution-oriented approach.

Conduct regular on-site visits with planning, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to assess needs and provide technical guidance.

Represent ABS through product demonstrations, customer presentations, and participation in industry events.

Technical Consultation and Solution Development

Provide technical consultation and support to customers, addressing application requirements and performance challenges.

Gather technical specifications and collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop customized solutions.

Prepare and submit technical proposals, quotations, and bids aligned with customer and purchasing requirements.

Sales Indicators and Business Development

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the assigned territory.

Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments, including new accounts.

Manage sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, quality, finance, and logistics teams to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the bearing and power transmission markets.

Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify emerging customer needs, technological advancements, and competitive threats.

Provide feedback and insights to internal teams, such as product development, marketing, and management, to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Customer Support and After-Sales Service

Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and post-sales support.

Address customer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and foster long‑term relationships.

Strong command of sales principles, negotiation, and commercial tactics to manage complex B2B industrial sales processes.

Solid working knowledge of bearings, power transmission products, and industrial power systems to support consultative technical discussions.

Clear understanding of cross‑functional industrial environments (engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and sales) to enable effective collaboration.

Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and drive results in long‑term customer relationships.

Experience using CRM systems (including Dynamics 365) for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.

Strong planning and project coordination skills, managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word for reporting and presentations.

Strong customer and results orientation.

Highly developed planning, organization, and self‑discipline.

Proven ability to manage negotiations and resolve conflicts in a professional and constructive manner.

Solid problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to analyze situations, propose practical solutions, and make sound decisions.

Ability to think creatively and independently, contributing ideas and approaches that add value to customers and internal teams.

Effective communication and teamwork skills, allowing collaboration across departments.

Requirements Bachelor´s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Metallurgical Engineering or related.

3 to 5 years of experience in the following:

Technical experience in bearings and Power Transmission

Sugar Industry (optional)

Cement Industry (Optional)

Required Degree: Yes

Travel availability: Yes, over 60%

License and vehicle: Yes

Location: Louisiana (preferred: Lafayette, Baton Rouge, or Lake Charles) or Houston, TX.

Pay: $90,000 per yearplus an attractive variable compensation plan
