
Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst role will be responsible for active threat hunting, performing vulnerability assessments, monitoring, maintaining current cybersecurity technologies and toolsets, and implementing strong safeguards for sensitive data. The analyst should possess solid analytical skills, a deep knowledge of security tools and protocols, and the ability to clearly communicate risks and recommendations. Core duties involve conducting regular security audits, staying informed about emerging threats, and working closely with IT teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
Responsibilities Activities include, but are not limited to:
Implement and maintain security safeguards
Monitor networks and systems for security events
Investigate and respond to security events/incidents
Perform regular security audits and reviews
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks
Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection
Enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
Stay current on cybersecurity threats and trends
Collaborate with IT teams to improve security measures
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field is preferred
Preferred but not required: Security+, CISSP, CISM
3 - 5 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst
Experience with CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Fortinet
Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions
Experience with Azure and cloud security tools
Strong knowledge of network, system, and cloud security concepts
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management principles
Some travel is required
