This position will be based in Fairmont, WV.
About The Role As a Relationship Banker I – Float, your primary responsibility is to make clients feel welcome and to establish relationships by providing an extraordinary client experience with every interaction. This role primarily is helping clients with account opening, account servicing/maintenance, and transaction processing. The Relationship Banker I – Float position travels between banking center locations to provide operational support and maintain staffing continuity throughout the West Virginia market. This role is intended as a first step toward becoming an experienced relationship banker and elevating to the Relationship Banker II role.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for opening new consumer accounts and services.
Display excellent communication and servicing skills when engaging with clients through oral and written means.
Identify customer needs during interaction while identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales focus.
Create and maintain strong client relationships.
Multi-task and offer a supportive team perspective.
Comply with bank security and operational policies/procedures.
Display excellent communication and servicing skills when engaging with clients through oral and written means.
Master computer programs used to assist clients in daily needs as well as any software skills necessary for branch automation and efficiency such as service events, workflows, email, etc.
Acquire and maintain through training and education an understanding of all regulatory compliance requirements as they relate to this
Conduct client facing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, as needed on rotation, etc.
Operate within guidelines for cash balancing and error resolution.
Support operational functions such as ITM balancing, vault balancing, card @ once daily audits, shipment, open and closing, etc. as needed.
Help clients with simple service issues such as debit card replacement, PIN changes, stop payments, dormant accounts, etc.
Consistently demonstrate MVB Core
Demonstrate desire to cross train by learning complex business account opening skills and treasury product sales and setup before transitioning to RBII role.
Demonstrate the desire to participate in community relations events/activities (CRA).
Maintain professionalism with clients at every touchpoint.
Education & Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of cash handling experience or equivalent customer service experience
1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven sales position preferred.
Solid oral and written communication skills
