Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of revenue accounting, ensuring full compliance with ASC 606, US GAAP, and corporate policies.
Oversee and enhance monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue analysis, and financial forecasting.
Drive technical accounting efforts, preparing memos and documentation for complex revenue arrangements under ASC 606.
Conduct contract and deal reviews, providing guidance on non-standard revenue structuring to ensure accurate recognition and compliance.
Identify, design, and implement process automation and scalable improvements across revenue workflows and reporting frameworks.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to evaluate impacts, mitigate risks, and support scalable solutions.
Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain robust SOX and audit controls for revenue processes.
Deliver ad-hoc analysis and insights to senior leadership as business needs arise.
Must-Have Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an active CPA license.
8+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience in the Technology or SaaS sector.
Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition principles.
Proven expertise with NetSuite ERP and strong analytical/problem-solving capabilities.
Significant experience in revenue operations, month-end close, and technical accounting documentation.
Experience managing priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Prior experience with a Big Four public accounting firm.
Hands-on familiarity with Salesforce and the quote-to-cash process.
Track record of process automation initiative and revenue system implementation.
Experience collaborating with global and cross-functional teams in a SaaS environment.
Strong understanding of SOX controls and audit preparation related to revenue processes.
