Bachelor’s Degree About the Role Take2 Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Specialist to support a federal government agency in managing the full acquisition lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your federal contracting expertise to a mission-driven environment, working on high-visibility programs that directly support national priorities. In this role, you will provide expert-level acquisition and contract management support from project inception through closeout. You’ll partner with Contracting Officers and program stakeholders to deliver effective procurement strategies, ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR regulations, and drive process improvements in acquisition planning and execution. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the full contract lifecycle, from requirements analysis to closeout, ensuring compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations. Conduct market research, develop purchase justifications, prepare cost estimates, and draft Statements of Work (SOWs) for both products and services. Support the development of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including evaluation of vendor responses. Prepare solicitation documentation, analyze proposals, and perform initial cost and price analyses. Draft negotiation memoranda, contract modifications, and award documentation for Contracting Officer (CO) review and signature. Assist in source selection activities and performance evaluations, and provide guidance on contract terminations and closeouts. Maintain organized contract files and documentation in accordance with agency requirements. Apply extensive working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and agency-specific acquisition supplements. Qualifications 9–12 years of relevant federal contracting experience, with at least 2 years of recent experience in a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition lifecycle operations, including financial execution concepts. Strong understanding of FAR, DFAR, and agency supplements. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative acquisition methodologies and program management analytics. Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements that streamline acquisition planning and execution. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for drafting cogent, well-supported analyses and reports. Skilled in reviewing program management data for accuracy and providing actionable recommendations. Clearance Requirement Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
