Commercial lines Account Manager / Account Executive- Competitive Salarycommensurate withexperience and qualifications
Independent insurance agency (West Islip NY area) is seeking a licensed professional to service and manage a book of commercial lines business. Respond to commercial client inquiries about policy and coverage questions and consult with clients on policy changes. Responsible for providing timely and professional day-to-day client service.
Responsibilities:
Provide continuous client service
Research and compile answers to client policy and coverage questions
Initiate relationships with and communicate with client decision makers
Market new business and account renewals with appropriate carriers for given risk
Experience with negotiating premiums for new and renewal submissions with various carrier underwriters
Knowledge and ability to create certificates of insurance, auto id cards, etc (not primary function - will have assistant for this.)
Identify, compile and manage information regarding account renewal
Request, install and implement policy changes and prepare new and renewal business submissions
Ability to assist producers with new and renewal business client presentations/proposals
Qualifications:
3-5 or more years of insurance industry experience related to servicing commercial accounts
Small to Mid Market Account experience preferred
NY Property and Casualty license
AMS 360 or Applied systems experience preferred
Knowledge of Insurance and/or Brokerage business
Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management on risk management issues with clients
Knowledge of computer software packages, including Word and Excel
Verbal and written communication skills
