Sales Engineer – Virginia & East NC/SC Southern Tool Specialist, Inc. (STS)

About the Opportunity Southern Tool Specialist, Inc. (STS) is seeking a highly motivated Industrial Sales Engineer to manage and grow our Virginia & Eastern North Carolina USA territory. This role reports directly to the Region Zone Manager and is ideal for a self-starter who excels in technical problem-solving, independent territory management, and customer-focused solution development.

Candidates must live in—or be willing to relocate to—the territory to be considered. Weekly travel requirements will vary based on business needs; 40–50% of travel is typically overnight.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, develop, and grow sales within the North & South Carolina territory

Conduct onsite evaluations of customer processes

Identify inefficiencies and deliver engineered solutions

Provide technical consultation and product demonstrations

Collaborate with OEM and strategic partners

Build and maintain strong customer relationships

Independently manage schedule, pipeline, and territory planning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

Mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing aptitude

Ability to apply technical solutions to customer needsStrategic problem solver with strong communication skills

Persistent, resilient, and relationship-oriented
