About the Job: Colasanti is seeking experienced Layout Engineers to join our growing Line and Grade Department and support upcoming high‑rise construction projects across the Metro Detroit Area.

Responsibilities:
Perform accurate field layout, surveying, and line‑and‑grade control for all phases of construction
Translate design drawings, plans, and specifications into precise on‑site layout and execution
Establish, maintain, and verify project control points, benchmarks, and reference lines
Ensure layout accuracy for foundations, structural elements, embeds, sleeves, and anchor bolts
Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to support efficient construction sequencing
Verify work is installed in accordance with approved drawings, tolerances, and project requirements
Identify and communicate discrepancies or conflicts in plans and assist with field resolutions
Support quality control by maintaining consistent layout accuracy throughout the life of the project
Assist with as‑built documentation and field verification as required
Utilize surveying and layout equipment effectively (total stations, levels, GPS, etc.)
Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with site safety standards
Support high‑rise and large‑scale commercial construction projects (experience preferred)
