Role Description We are seeking an Engagement Manager/Digital Consultant CPG, Customer Success, to lead digital, data science, and analytics initiatives for a global CPG client. This role sits at the intersection of client partnership, program leadership, and digital value realization.

As an Engagement Manager/Digital Consultant CPG, you will:

Advise executive CPG clients on digital, data and AI strategy and transformation

Shape key strategic transformation initiatives and decisions

Prepare and conduct executive communication

Lead end‑to‑end client engagements

Lead cross‑functional teams delivering digital and analytics solutions

Partner with senior client stakeholders to translate strategy into action

Drive adoption, activation, and measurable business outcomes

This is a

client‑facing leadership role

focused on embedding digital insights, enabling data‑driven decision‑making, and expanding engagement scope across marketing, commercial, supply chain, and enterprise functions.

What You’ll Do Client Advisory & Digital Value Delivery

Serve as the key engagement lead for CPG clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner

Translate client business goals into digital, analytics, and AI‑enabled programs

Lead structured discovery, hypothesis‑driven diagnostics, and executive working sessions to align on priorities, value pools, and success metrics Bridge strategy to execution by converting insights into concrete decisions, operating rhythms, and embedded workflows

Drive solution adoption and sustained business impact through change management, enablement, and performance tracking

Lead and mentor teams of Associates and Senior Associates across global locations

Partner with India‑based Data Science and Engineering leaders to deliver work through MathCo’s global delivery model

Ensure high‑quality execution across digital products, dashboards, models, and analytics solutions

Manage complex, multi‑workstream programs with clear governance, milestones, risk management, and executive communications

Digital & CPG Use Case Ownership

Deliver solutions across key CPG domains, including:

Demand forecasting & supply chain analytics

Retail, ecommerce, and customer analytics

Help clients evolve from descriptive analytics to predictive and prescriptive decision‑making

Apply CPG‑specific digital expertise and knowledge (e.g., CPG‑specific data sources, CPG system landscape, business and category understanding) to design pragmatic, scalable solutions

Growth & Account Expansion

Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing engagements

Partner with Sales and Account leaders to shape new use cases and programs

Contribute to account‑level digital and analytics strategy, including platform evolution, operating model design, and capability build‑out

Support proposal development, business cases, and executive storytelling to drive sustained client partnerships

What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in management consulting, AI, data and analytics, digital transformation, or customer success

Strong experience working with CPG clients across commercial and/or supply chain domains (e.g., marketing, RGM, demand planning, ecommerce, retail analytics)

Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing and advising Director‑, VP‑, and GM‑level leaders

Demonstrated experience translating business strategy and problem statements into scalable digital, analytics, and AI programs and initiatives

Proven ability to lead client‑facing engagements in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments

Experience delivering analytics, data science, or digital solutions (hands‑on coding not required)

Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior business leaders

Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional, global teams

Management consulting background strongly preferred

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Hybrid role based in Chicago

Technical & Digital Acumen

Deep understanding of CPG digital landscape, including typical system and solution landscape, data landscape, and AI applications

Strong understanding of analytics and AI concepts (e.g., regression, machine learning, forecasting, classification)

Familiarity with analytics and data tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SQL, visualization platforms)

Experience managing large‑scale analytics or digital programs, including methodology, resourcing, and delivery

Being a Mathemagician
