Role Summary The Solutions Consultant is the primary onsite consulting presence and client-facing technical liaison for assigned Technology Architects customers. This role serves as the connective tissue between the client and Technology Architects’ internal teams, ensuring client environments are deeply understood, properly aligned, and fully supportable within our Managed Intelligence model.
The Solutions Consultant identifies client pain points at every level of the organization from end users to executive leadership and translates those insights into actionable initiatives across vCIO planning, Managed Intelligence, Cyber Security, sales, and project delivery.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for a technical professional who excels at communication, discovery, and strategic alignment, not just technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, document, and prioritize pain points across:
End users
Department managers
IT contacts
Executive leadership and ownership
Translate business and operational challenges into:
Technical findings
Serve as the voice of the client inside Technology Architects, ensuring insights are not siloed or lost
2. Primary Client Point of Contact
Act as a consistent, trusted onsite point of contact into Technology Architects
Represent TA with authority, clarity, and accountability
Guide clients on:
Ownership and responsibilities
How requests flow through Technology Architects
What to expect next
Reduce fragmentation, confusion, and unnecessary escalations
3. Onsite Environment Discovery & Assessment
Conduct ongoing onsite assessments of:
Infrastructure and networking
Endpoint and device landscape
Security posture
Backup and disaster recovery
Validate alignment between:
Documentation standards
Monitoring and management tools (Auvik, ConnectWise RMM)
4. vCIO Enablement & Strategic Input
Provide ground-truth technical and operational insight to the vCIO function
Supply:
Risk and business impact analysis
Required vs. recommended improvements
Partner with vCIOs to:
Build accurate, realistic roadmaps
Design executive-ready initiatives
Align technology strategy with business goals
5. Project Opportunity Identification & Sales Enablement
Identify project opportunities based on:
Onsite findings
Risk, compliance, and security gaps
Translate opportunities into:
Required involvement from Managed Intelligence and Cyber Security
Support sales by validating feasibility and scope (non-quota-carrying role)
6. Solution Design & Deployment Support
Assist vCIO and sales teams with solution design prior to approval
Participate in post-approval project execution alongside:
Cyber Security
Ensure delivery aligns with:
Design intent
Operational standards
Long-term supportability
Support clean transitions back into Managed Intelligence operations
7. Documentation & Internal Coordination
Document findings, decisions, and recommendations in IT Glue
Ensure clean, structured handoffs to:
vCIO
Cyber Security
Prevent siloed knowledge and lost client intelligence

Proven experience in client-facing consulting or architecture roles
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership
