
Construction Superintendent

The Blackburn Group is seeking a full-time Construction Superintendent for our Multifamily construction company, Blackburn Construction, Inc. The selected candidate will oversee construction professionals on-site in Colorado Springs.
We are a family-owned real estate company based in Oxford, MS with offices in Colorado. We have a diverse portfolio of businesses throughout the Southern United States with a focus in residential and commercial real estate development. The Blackburn Group operates a Multifamily development and construction company, commercial general construction company, investment companies, and multiple fitness centers.
Responsibilities for a Lead Multifamily Superintendent with Blackburn Construction include, but are not limited to:
Providing quality projects that are built on time and within budget.
Leading a 300+ unit multifamily team.
Reviewing contract documents and notifying upper management of any discrepancies.
Building project specific schedules and coordinate work with Subcontractors.
Conducting preconstruction meetings with subcontractors to ensure all parties agree on timing and scope of work.
Meeting with local utility companies to coordinate project services availability or construction needed for new services.
Coordinating inspections with local building departments as needed.
Conducting weekly jobsite safety meetings with all subcontractors onsite and providing paperwork to home office.
Communicating with project management on project material and equipment deliveries.
Generating daily logs through company software “Procore” that detail construction progress with photos.
Scheduling testing engineers for inspections as needed.
Updating upper management weekly on construction progress and issues.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of superintendent experience preferred.
Applicants located in Colorado, with
construction experience in Colorado Springs, preferred .
Multifamily experience preferred
(4-story elevator served experience desired).
Leadership skills and experience required.
Minimum High School diploma or GED preferred.
College level education preferred.
Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
