We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Agent

to focus primarily on

policy re-shops and retention activities . This role is critical in ensuring our clients maintain the most competitive coverage and pricing while receiving exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, efficient, and comfortable managing a high volume of renewal reviews.

Key Responsibilities

Review upcoming renewals to identify premium increases, coverage gaps, or carrier appetite changes.

Conduct thorough

re-shops

across approved carriers to secure the best coverage and pricing options for existing clients.

Communicate re-shop results to clients, clearly explaining differences in premiums, coverage, and carrier benefits.

Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and rewrites as needed.

Maintain accurate documentation within the agency management system (AMS).

Partner with Producers and Account Managers to support retention goals.

Respond to client inquiries related to billing, coverage, and policy updates.

Ensure compliance with carrier guidelines, underwriting requirements, and state regulations.

Meet or exceed agency standards for retention, customer satisfaction, and turnaround time.

Qualifications

Active Property & Casualty License (required).

Minimum 1–2 years of insurance agency experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products (Auto, Home, Umbrella; commercial lines is a plus).

Experience quoting through multiple carriers and comparative raters.

Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

High attention to detail and strong follow-through.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Preferred Skills

Experience with agency systems (EZLynx, Applied, Vertafore, HawkSoft, or similar).

Familiarity with underwriting guidelines across multiple carriers.

Proven track record of meeting retention or re-shop expectations.
