Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Aid Advisor located in Strawberry Plains, TN. The Financial Aid Advisor will guide students and families through financial aid processes, assist in determining eligibility for aid, and explain scholarships, grants, loans, and payment options. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and addressing inquiries regarding financial assistance. Daily responsibilities include counseling current and prospective students, calculating aid packages, and presenting information effectively in various formats.
Qualifications
Proficiency in financial aid processes, including scholarships, grants, and loan programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to counsel and advise students and families
Attention to detail for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations
Proficiency in using financial aid management systems and other relevant software
Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and institutional policies
Background in higher education or student finance is advantageous
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
